• 4 Things That I Don’t Miss About Being Pregnant

    1. Not fitting into any of my clothes – okay, this is sort of a spin-off of gaining weight, but seriously – I ended up going shopping twice throughout my pregnancy. Finally, when it was all said and done, I ended up with a few pair of yoga pants and a few maternity tees. By 30 weeks or so, I’d all but given up on squeezing my pregnant belly into anything that was already in my closet. For what it’s worth, pregnant or not, I hate shopping for clothes. It’s definitely not my thing. I was less than pleased with the prospect of having to do it twice in matter of 10 months.
    2. All the extra attention – I swore to my husband that the first person that touched my belly was getting punched. I wasn’t kidding. I’m a very private person and strongly believe in the concept of personal space. My so-called “3-foot bubble” was mine and mine alone. And don’t even get me started on the questions – there are a few things that, as far as I’m concerned, are no one’s business except my own. Why people feel the need to ask about OB appointments or to ask questions relating to the status of one’s cervix, I’ll never know.
