• A Note On Black History Month

     

    A little over a year ago was the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. march on Washington and his “I have a Dream” speech.  This speech is as relevant today as it was on August 28, 1963 and some of his words still ring true today.  It is disheartening that, in 50+ years, some attitudes and beliefs have not changed since Dr. King’s time.  It is important that our children learn not only American history presented in schools, but ALL history of America.   Dr. King was not the only African-American who tried to change America.
