• 5 Places That My Son Is Better-Behaved Than He Is At Home

    1. Daycare tells me every day that he’s wonderful. At this point, I just look at them in disbelief. The little guy at home is far different than the little guy at daycare, apparently. When I walk in, he’s usually sitting on the floor playing. As soon as he hears my voice, he looks up and greets me with his big, brown eyes and sweet smile. Sometimes, it’s hard to believe that this is the same baby that I dropped off eight hours ago.

    2. The grocery store is always a lot of fun. He gets a kick out of riding in the cart and looking around. People are always stopping us to say hi and tell us how precious he is. Everyone always tells me that he’s so well-behaved. I can literally shop for hours without him making a sound. As long as we keep on moving, he’s good to go.

    3. I have a friend who watches him if I have to work on Saturday. She’s constantly telling me how easy he is. The way she tells it, he’s hardly any work at all. He spends the morning happily playing with her son and doesn’t give her any trouble whatsoever. He eats well and sleeps well when he’s there. He’s happy to just go with the flow and do whatever it is that’s on the agenda for that particular morning. He totally adores her little boy.

    4. I’ve gotten into the habit of taking the little guy to certain doctor’s appointments. The girls there love him. I’m sure he loves all of the attention. Again, he just hangs out and watches what’s going on around him. He’s perfectly fine with the idea of being there indefinitely while we wait for our turn. He just sits there and carries on a conversation with whoever will listen to him.

    5. The first time we went out to dinner with him, he slept the entire time. As he’s gotten older, he’s realized that there are all kinds of fun things to play with in restaurants. He’s ridiculously easy to amuse, though. I usually just plop him on my lap or in a high chair with a few toys and he alternates between playing and looking around.

Is your little one oddly well-behaved in public? Does his/her entire personality change when you go somewhere? Leave a comment and share you experiences.
