To Spank Or Not To Spank?

Spanking a child to enforce discipline is to physically slap them to get their attention when you want them to obey you. Some view this as physical abuse, some see it as a way to teach your child the difference between right and wrong. Who's choice is it to determine which is the right course to take?

There is a proposed bill in Kansas that will allow parents to spank kids hard enough to give them red marks and bruises. Are those red marks and bruises really needed? What is that really teaching those kids? Well, they might start to think that it's okay to hit someone to get them to do what they want.
