7 Reasons Why Non-Football-Fan Wives Should Look Forward To Sunday Game Day With Their Husbands

Well ladies, it's that time of year again. Yes, Football Season is in full swing! You may be yearning for the Super Bowl to get here fast, but don’t fret. Here are 7 good reasons why you should embrace Game Day with your hubby.

1. You can stay in your PJ's all day.

As the wife of a football fan you know leaving the house on Sunday is not high on your husband's to do list. Don't get annoyed that he doesn't want to go to brunch (or mow the lawn). Make your family's favorite breakfast at home and embrace the comfort of your pajamas!

2. You have a somewhat valid excuse to eat nachos and pizza bites.

Football season has a tendency to make your husband want to eat all the foods you normally wouldn't indulge in. As the saying goes, “When in Rome….”

3. Ice Cold Beer.

I can't speak for all the ladies out there, but this lady enjoys herself a good beer! Since I'm sure your husband will be cracking open a few, why not join in the fun? Cheers!

4. You have hours upon hours to snuggle up with a good book.

This one is especially delightful on those cold or rainy days. I love to read, but don't always feel I have the leisure time to so. Football Sunday's were made for leisurely activities. Cozy up with a blanket on the couch next to your hubby and get lost in those pages. If you aren't into books, by all means, grab your favorite magazine and get your gossip on!

5. You can spend the day baking.

I love to bake homemade treats for my family, but baking can be so time consuming. Use the day to mix up your favorite goodies and your husband AND kids will thank you. Plus, there's nothing like the smell of fresh baked cookies wafting through your home.

6. It's a reason to entertain.

Who doesn't love a Sunday afternoon BBQ? Invite friends and family over and let the good times roll. The bonus to this one is, more than likely, you won't be the only wife who doesn't care to watch the game. It's the pefect way to squeeze in some girl time!

7. You can throw caution to the wind and actually WATCH the games with your man.

Choosing to take in Sunday football with your husband may take a lot of guts and patience, but you got this! Put on that jersey he got you 3 years ago for Christmas and dive in. I'm sure your efforts will be more than appreciated and you might find that you actually enjoy it. Touch Down!!!
