• World Record For Breast Milk Donation

Mother in Texas pumps so much breast milk, way more than her baby can drink, so she donated 86 gallons of it to The Mother's Milk Bank of North Texas!

She would fill up her whole freezer with breast milk, but she had to keep pumping to keep the milk coming. She didn't know what to do with all of the extra milk, until a friend told her about donating for mother's who couldn't breastfeed. What a great idea!

All those donating their Mothers’ Milk are to be healthy, breastfeeding moms with infants less than one year old, and must be screened. If you have any interest in donating your own, check out your local Milk Bank!

NORTH TEXAS  – There are some 44,000 recognized categories for Guinness World Record and a North Texas mother now counts herself among the record holders. But her category is one most folks probably aren’t familiar with.

You see, Alicia Richman now holds the new Guinness World Record for “Most Breastmilk Donated.” That’s right! The Granbury mother pumped, stored and donated more than 11,000 ounces of breastmilk between June 2011 and March 2012. Her donation amount is equivalent to more than 86 gallons.
